ARTIST NOTES: A colourful and visually striking painting that blends elements of abstraction with true representation (just like the real world and the fragments that we cannot see). Various citrus fruits representing nourishment, good health and abundance are rendered in vibrant colours, creating a deliberate contrast with the blue hues of the background. The overall message is one of beauty, with the acknowledgement that beauty IS imperfection; the fragmenting lines and vibrant colours represent our different aspects of existence - our connection to the abundant and beautiful natural world and the fragmentation that comes from our personal challenges and internal conflicts.
